Timbits U7 Program
Program Overview
U7 Introduction Program (IP) is made up 3 Introduction Programs, split by age group, determined by year of birth.
- IP 4 (4 year olds)
- IP 5 (5 year olds)
- IP 6 (6 year olds)
Together, these 3 IP programs make up our U7 division.
The primary purpose of the Timbits U7 Introduction Program (IP) is to provide players an opportunity to develop skating and hockey skills in a fun and supportive environment.
The IP motto is Fun, Fitness, and Fair Play!
When will hockey start?
- Parent Information Night will be conducted at the beginning of September by the U7 Convenor and Hockey Operations.
- Mid-September - the U7 Division Convenor will reach out via TeamSnap Email to invite your players to rust-off skates.
- Players are primarily grouped by age, then sorted into teams.
- Evaluation skates will support forming teams.
How much time will my player be on the ice?
- IP4 will practice once per week.
- IP5 and IP6 will practice twice per week (occasionally it may be less due to ice availability).
- The arena location and practice times will vary, but as a general rule, they will be in the morning, on the weekend.
